Would you Trip someone?
"No way would I intentionally trip someone!" you might say.
In sports it is a flagrant foul to trip someone. A person who commits such an act is disqualified or ejected from the game.
The Bible has something to say about the game of life!
Matt 18:7

7 "Woe to the world because of its stumbling blocks! For it is inevitable that stumbling blocks come; but woe to that man through whom the stumbling block comes!
NASU
Jesus is saying that in life there are times that we trip and stumble. It could be a rock, step on a banana peel, hang a toe on a chair, all sorts of things can happen. Here Jesus is speaking in a spiritual sense. The world throws all kinds of things at us to trip us up. Jesus says those things are going to happen. But he goes one step further. Woe to the person who causes one to stumble or trip spiritually.
This is a warning to all professed Christians! Just remember we are not the judge. Jesus is the Judge! He will make a righteous judgment with no respect of persons.

Therefore, let us make sure that our motives are pure for all that we do and say for He knows our hearts. If we do or say something to make us look better at someone else's expense, then we just committed a foul.
Jesus has some good advice for us: Luke 6:37-38

37 " Do not judge, and you will not be judged; and do not condemn, and you will not be condemned; pardon, and you will be pardoned. 38 "Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure - pressed down, shaken together, and running over. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return."
NASU

Was it really an accident?
